Script700 is an extension to the SPC format, that allows for first note sticking SPCs to play, without direct SPC700 assembler hacking.
This format is popular in Japan.

Not only is it good for First note sticking SPCs, it is also good for other oddball cases, like SPCs that cannot be fully emulated correctly otherwise, like Down to the World Opening Song.

You need an SPC Player that handles the script700 format. Most of them use a modified snesapu.dll to provide the support.

The file names for individual SPC files are: (can be used for various cases like Down the world opening song, FF6 dancing mad, etc...)
{spc file name}.700
{spc file name}.7SE
{spc file name}.700.TXT
{spc file name}.7SE.TXT

The file names for full SPC sets are: (used for first note sticking spc sets that are hackable.)
65816.700
65816.7SE
65816.700.TXT
65816.7SE.TXT
