Jareth Hein was born in the U.S., lived in the Denver area, studied animation in Japan for one year at the beginning of 1990's after which he returned home only to go back to Japan again, this time for working for video game companies there. He is working as programmer for Sonic/Camelot Software Planning since 1995. He is also a regular hacker on XEmacs which CVS server he runs, and MULE.
